Originally from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, I have lived in Newtownabbey, County Antrim for over 25 years, where my piano studio is based.
My love of music began at a young age, and I trained at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria obtaining a degree in Music and Piano Teaching and Performance. I have many years of experience teaching piano, accompanying singers and instrumentalists, and working in choral settings as both a musical director and alto singer.
After spending time working outside music, I returned to the profession through my children’s school, which reignited my passion for teaching and performing. Music has been at the heart of my life ever since.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly take part in piano courses, masterclasses, and advanced music theory and composition studies. I am an active member of The Curious Piano Teachers, ISM, and EPTA-UK.
Alongside my teaching, I serve as the ABRSM Honorary Local Representative for Belfast, supporting local teachers and students. I am a qualified Vocal Health First Aider. I hold an Enhanced AccessNI certificate.
I am an EMCC Accredited Coach at Foudational Level, reflecting my commitment to high professional and ethical standards in coaching. My coaching focuses on helping music educators and creative leaders to achieve their full potential.
I am also the founder of The Belfast Piano Group, a welcoming community for adult amateur pianists who want to learn, share, perform, and connect with fellow pianists.
